About Me
Kara Marino, LPC, CMHC, CCTP-I
Therapist & Owner
Hi, I'm Kara.
I'm a licensed therapist and owner of Peaks & Valleys Behavioral Health, providing virtual therapy to clients in Arizona and Utah. I specialize in working with adults with ADHD, particularly those who have spent years working hard to keep up with the demands of life while wondering why certain things seem to feel so much harder than they should.
My interest in ADHD is both professional and personal. I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, and that experience deepened my understanding of how meaningful it can be to finally have an explanation for patterns that may have felt confusing or frustrating for years.
For many people, an ADHD diagnosis isn't simply about learning how to be more organized or productive. It can mean looking back at years of experiences through a new lens and understanding why certain things felt difficult, recognizing strengths that may have been overlooked, and beginning to let go of the belief that you simply weren't trying hard enough.
That's the kind of work I want to help clients do.
Whether you're newly diagnosed, wondering if ADHD might explain some of your experiences, or have lived with an ADHD diagnosis for years, therapy can be a space to better understand yourself and find strategies that actually fit your life.
A Little About Me
Outside of my work as a therapist and business owner, I'm a mom and wife. I know how full life can become when you're balancing work, family, relationships, responsibilities, and all of the things that seem to live in your head at once.
I value authenticity, curiosity, warmth, and humor in both my personal and professional life. I want therapy to be a space where you can show up as your actual self—not the version of yourself you think you should be presenting.
You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin.
That's what we're here to work on together.
Finding the right therapist is an important decision. If you're looking for a therapist who understands ADHD beyond the stereotypes, look no further.
